  Mount Mayon Summit Climb

There are 2 camps when travelling up to the summit of Mount Mayon.  Camp 1 is around 2 hours away and lies at the foot of the slope of the mountain.  Camp 2 is situated beside a dry waterfall bed or popularly known as the “gulley” or “water source”, climbers reach this camp site after a four to five hour long trek and climb from the base camp.  Camp 2 also offers spectacular view of the city of Legazpi and the ocean.

From Camp 2, there would be a 5 to 7 hours hard trek to reach the crater of Mount Mayon.  Trekkers would be passing straight up the gulley towards the summit.  This part of the leg is definitely not for the weak as this is best recommended for intermediate or advanced climbers.  Upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with an unbelievable view of the Legaspi City and the islands beside it.

Ligñon Hills Zipline

The 156-meter high Ligñon (also spelled Lingñon, pronounced as /li-NYON/) Hill has always been one of Legazpi’s most famous landmarks. For years, Ligñon Hill is known only for the PHIVOLCS observatory located in its flanks and an old lighthouse on its summit. Today, it has become one of the city’s prime destinations for sightseers, adventurers and even fitness buffs.

Ligñon Hill Nature Park offers fun filled and thrilling activities. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of exciting activities including a 320-meter zipline (Php200) where the adventurous can soar through the air harnessed to a cable.The hill also offers other adventure activities and extreme sports, such as hiking, biking, rappelling, paintball, and soon, airsoft.

Camsur Watersports Complex 

Camsur Watersports Complex is a unique watersports park designed for wakeboarding, wakeskating and waterskiing. For beginner riders to the professional wakeboarders and skiiers from all over the world, CWC offers a 6-point cable ski system, coupled with restaurants, sand bars, spas, pro-shops and grand stands to hold guests. Riders can also enjoy their favorite water sports at night as the park will be equipped with spotlights that allow for it even to be open on evenings.

Bagasbas Beach Surfing

If you are yearning to surf while in the Philippines, the rustic and quaint town of Daet is a perfect place for you to visit. The waves here consistent all year long and it is ranked 62^nd surfing spot in the world. Unlike other surfing spots in the country, Daet can be reached by land and not through air travel.

A perfect fix for surfing beginners since the beach has gentle slopes making it not dangerous. It is also far and wide so that there is ample space for all surfers here.

An annual event which is called Bagasbas Summer Surf is held every April. Everyone can partake on this much-awaited event with just P500 (roughly $12) participation fee. The fee includes a free event t-shirt, a pair of Mojo sandal, surfing lessons and chance to enjoy other activities such as beach volleyball, wall climbing, Frisbee and dodgeball.
